College: Wetterstrom played four seasons of indoor volleyball at Michigan. As a senior she was second on the team in kills and digs. She transferred to Florida State to play one year of beach volleyball but the season was cut short due to COVID. She had a 12-1 record on the beach.
Personal: Wetterstrom has a brother, Forrest, who played football at Western State Colorado University. Her grandfather played football and ran track at the University of Colorado and she had an uncle who was a Super Bowl champion while playing with the Washington Redskins. As a high school junior she was ranked 32nd in PrepVolleyball's Top 100 recruits. Following college Wetterstrom played professionally in Finland, then became the first ever head coach of the beach volleyball team at the University of Pacific.
