2026: Chacon formed a partnership with Maddie Anderson, who was a teammate and former partner at FSU. The duo qualified for the AVP League in the third and final qualifier, sweeping all four opponents including seeds one, three and five.

2025: Chacon played the entire season with her younger sister Morgan. They competed in four AVP events with the best of a second in a Contenders event, and also finished ninth in Manhattan Beach. The sisters played six World Tour events, winning three medals in Futures events, including two golds. 

2024: Chacon played four AVP tournaments with Mariah Whalen, with a best of fifth in a Contenders event.  Chacon played nine World Tour events on the season, with the first five coming alongside Whalen. That duo advanced to the semifinals in all four Futures events, with a fourth, a bronze and then two silvers, before placing 19th in a Challenge event.  Chacon then played three events with Molly Phillips, advancing from the qualifier twice. At the end of the season Chacon played in the qualifier of a Contenders event with her younger sister Morgan.

2023: Chacon and Kylie Deberg played three AVP events together, winning in a Contender Series event in Denver in their second outing, then placing seventh in Manhattan Beach. Chacon then played a Contenders event with Mariah Whalen, placing fifth. Chacon and Deberg also finished fifth in a NORCECA event.

2019: Chacon made her pro beach debut in a qualifier in Seattle with former FSU teammate Katie Horton.

College: Chacon played beach volleyball at Florida State, where she went 6-1 as a freshman. Her sophomore season she played mostly on court one, finishing 27-15 with Madison Fitzpatrick. As a junior she went 13-0 with Molly McBain on court one before the season was cut short due to Covid. The next year she played mostly with McBain on court one, ending with a 25-13 match record. As a senior Chacon played mostly on court one, ending with a 33-9 match record. She played alongside Madison Fitzpatrick for every match except one, on March 26, 2022, when she partnered with her sister Morgan in a win over Tampa. Chacon ended her FSU career ranking second in dual match wins (100) and second in wins by a pair (58 with Madison Fitzpatrick).

Personal: Chacon has two sisters who both play volleyball. Morgan, played indoor and beach volleyball at Florida State and then beach volleyball at Long Beach State while Savana, played indoor volleyball at Purdue then beach volleyball at Long Beach State. In high school Alaina and her sister Morgan combined for 802 of their team's 1,152 kills, leading them to the first state championship appearance in program history. Chacon in just three years compiled 1,105 digs, 940 kills, 150 aces and 133 blocks. Following graduation Chacon became a volunteer assistant coach with the Florida State beach volleyball team.
