College: Fernandez plays beach volleyball at UCLA. As a freshman she compiled a 20-14 record, mostly on court four with Kaley Mathews.
Personal: Fernandez is the youngest of four siblings, Sergio Jr., Felicia and Sofia. She led her high school team in kills, was second in digs, and third in blocks and was named First Team All-State, the only freshman to make either the first or second team. Fernandez then switched to beach volleyball.
