College: Best began her collegiate career indoors at Western Carolina. She then transferred to Cal State-Fullerton, where she played for three seasons. Her 103 block assists her junior season tied for the fourth highest in program history.
Personal: Best was born in London and has a younger sister, Anouska. In high school in Georgia she earned two letters in basketball and four in volleyball. Her senior season the volleyball team was the state runner-up and had a 45-5 record.
