College: Befus played beach volleyball at Jacksonville State. As a freshman she played on courts three, four and five, then moved to court two as a sophomore. She was on court one as a junior but the season was cut short due to COVID. The following two years she played on court one and helped her team in her senior season to record the most wins in program history. Befus ended her career with the fifth most wins on court one in team history.
Personal: Befus' mother Debbie played volleyball at Ottawa University and her sister Makenzie played beach volleyball at Jacksonville State.
